Final Draft Cloud is able to import uploaded PDFs and convert them into editable .FDX files with a high degree of accuracy.
To convert a PDF to an FDX, first visit cloud.finaldraft.com and go to your Vault. Then, you can either click and drag the PDF into Vault to upload it, or click Create and select Upload:
In the new window that opens, select the PDF from where it's saved on your computer, and then click Open:
The PDF will be uploaded to your Vault and appear in your main "Files" section.
Once the PDF is uploaded, click the three dots to the right of the PDF name and then click Import to Script:
Final Draft Cloud will then convert your script into an editable file in Final Draft Writer. You will be prompted to name the file and pick a location within Vault to save. Name it, then click Save:
The file will then be open in Final Draft Writer and able to be edited.
Please note that while the PDF importer is very accurate, it cannot account for every formatting variation, and some reformatting may be required for your script to reflect correct industry standard formatting.
