Just like in the desktop version of Final Draft, in Final Draft Writer, you can create a unique Header and Footer that appear at the top and bottom of each page, respectively. You can edit these to include custom text, the page number, the current date, etc. The look of the header and footer may be customized to suit the needs of the script.
If you are looking to edit or add to your Header & Footer, click the header at the very top of your page:
This will open the Header and Footer window. Click the tab for either Header or Footer, depending on which you are editing. From there, you can choose to insert standard options like Page #, Date, FileName, and Label by clicking the “Insert Field” dropdown menu.
Make sure your cursor is wherever you’d like the chose Field to appear. Then, click the dropdown menu and select that Field. You will see it appear in the box below:
To add your own text, simply click in the text box, and type whatever you would like to appear on each page. When you are finished click “Done” to return to your script.
