To deactivate Final Draft, you must have an internet connection.
Open the program and go to Help > Deactivate. If you have any unsaved work, you will be prompted to save it before deactivating.
Choose Deactivate. The program will connect to our server and the activation will be removed from the computer and placed in your account for later use. Once a computer has been deactivated, another computer may be activated immediately.
NOTE: All support for Final Draft 9 and older, including activation service, has been discontinued.
Final Draft 9 and older can no longer be activated (or re-activated) to run in full mode on any computer. If it is currently activated, the program will continue to work but only on that computer and only if nothing is done to the computer that will deactivate it (such as an OS upgrade or a replacement hard drive).
