When I try to activate Final Draft on my Windows computer, I get an "Activation Server Failed" message with error code 50040.

Open Windows File Explorer (the yellow file folder icon at the bottom of the screen);
In the left-hand panel, right-click on This PC;
Left-click on Properties.

The system type will be indicated:

If it's an ARM system, FD can't be activated.

If you don't have ARM architecture, restart your computer and launch Final Draft. You may not be prompted to activate.
