To insert a ScriptNote in Final Draft Writer, place your cursor where you would like the ScriptNote to go. You can also double-click to highlight a specific word or section.
Then, on your Floating Toolbar, click the icon all the way to the right. This will open a new ScriptNote window. You can type to edit, then click the green button to add the ScriptNote you just wrote. You will see your name appears next to the ScriptNote, so it can be attributed to you!
To edit a pre-existing ScriptNote, you can click on the ScriptNote icon in the margin of your script. Then, click the three dots on the righthand side of the ScriptNote window. Choose “Edit” and make your changes. Then click “Save.”
To delete a ScriptNote, click the ScriptNote and the three dots again. This time choose “Delete ScriptNote.” Or, you can click the trash icon in the bottom lefthand corner of the window. Either way, you will receive a popup window asking again if you would like to delete. Click “Delete” and the ScriptNote will be removed.
To reply to a ScriptNote, click on it to open. Then, write your reply in the text box that says “Reply” and click the green button to post.
