- Scroll to the last valid page of the script;
- Click the mouse immediately to the right of the last letter or period in the script:
- On the keyboard, hold down the Shift key and press Page Down or the down arrow key until you reach the very end of the document (this will highlight all of the unwanted white space);
- Press the Delete or the Backspace key to delete all of the white space that's been highlighted.
Note that it might take more than one pass to remove all of the unwanted white space. If the white space won't go away:
Go to View > Show Invisibles; non-printing formatting marks will be displayed:
Using the Delete or the Backspace key, remove these marks manually to eliminate any remaining unwanted white space. When you're finished, go back to the View menu and choose Hide Invisibles.
Note that depending on how full of text the last page of a script is, Final Draft may still draw part of a blank page after it; this empty partial page will not be part of a PDF document or a hard-copy print job.
