To automatically start every new scene on a new page:
- Go to Format > Elements (Mac) or Format > Elements Settings (Windows);
- Click Scene Heading from the list on the left;
- Check the box to the right next to Start New Page;
- Click OK.
Every scene in the script now starts on its own page.
If your script is divided into acts, you can automatically begin each new act on a new page by creating a New Act element (click HERE for information on how to create a new element) and setting this new element with a built-in page break (see above). To start your next act, make sure that you use the New Act element as the first element on the page.
Since the first page of a new act typically starts about a quarter of a page (or so) from the top, when you're creating the New Act element, you may also want to adjust the Space Before setting in the Paragraph tab to between 15 and 25 (experiment to see which number of blank lines works best for you).
