Emojis & Symbols for Mac Users
Go to Edit > Emojis & Symbols:
This opens the Mac OS dialogue window for choosing and inserting emojis or non-standard or foreign-language characters.
Choose the category from the row of icons at the bottom of this window (click the right-pointing arrow for Show Next Categories to display Letterlike Symbols, in this example). Double-click the desired character to place it into the script at the current cursor position. The emoji or symbol will be the same font size as the regular text into which it is placed.
Emojis & Symbols for Windows Users
Go to Edit > Emojis & Symbols.
This opens an emoji and symbol picker, similar to those found on mobile devices:
In the top row of icons, choose a category from which to display available emojis, kaomojis, symbols and accented characters. The first icon displays recently-used items; the last icon displays the clipboard history (what has been copied to the computer's buffer).
Click an emoji, kaomoji, symbol or accented character and it will be placed on the script page where the cursor is blinking:
Click onto the script page to dismiss the emoji picker.
NOTE that inserting GIFs onto the page is not supported:
