The Final Draft Customer Number functions as the distinct identifier for your software license purchase of older versions such as Final Draft 12, Final Draft 11, and Final Draft 10. If registered in our database, it's associated with your name and email address, with specific alphanumeric characters indicating your license type.

- KFDS-123A-456B-789C-101D -- K = Final Draft 12, S = Single User License
- EFDU-123A-456B-789C-101D – E = Final Draft 11, U = Upgrade
- XFDE-123A-456B-789C-101D – X = Final Draft 10, E = Educational
To locate your Customer Number after installing and activating Final Draft, on a Mac, navigate to the Final Draft menu at the upper left and select About Final Draft. On Windows computers, go to the Help menu at the upper right and choose About Final Draft.
In Final Draft 13, activation no longer requires a customer number. Instead, users are prompted to create a store account and use their account email address and password to sign in and begin writing.
