How do I change the Customer Number embedded in my copy of Final Draft 8 / 7 or AV2.5?

Answer

To change the Customer Number embedded in Final Draft 8 / 7 or AV2.5:

  1. If the computer is activated, you must deactivate it. Instructions for deactivation are HERE;
  2. When you are prompted to activate, click the button labeled Change..;
  3. Enter another Customer Number into the field;
  4. Click OK and activate Final Draft or AV2.5.

IMPORTANT: Live technical support (phone, chat, email) for Final Draft 8 will end on December 31, 2017. You will still be able to find information and solutions in this knowledge base, in the online troubleshooter and in the FD8 User Guide.

NOTE: All support for Final Draft 7 and AV, including software activation, has been discontinued. You may find solutions to problems in the online knowledge base or in the PDF manual found on the installation CD.
