Question
Customer Number on Older Versions

Answer

If you have Final Draft 5, the Customer Number came on the registration card in the box. On this card is a printed number that looks like this:

FD5-123-456-789-123 or FDU-012-345-678-109

In Final Draft 5 for Windows go to Help > Technical Support.

In Final Draft 5 for Mac it's under Apple menu > About Final Draft > Support and for Windows under Help > About Final Draft > Support.

NOTE: Final Draft 5 is no longer supported, so an FD5/FDU number will not be recognized by our web-based support service.

If you have Final Draft 4, you may or may not have a Customer Number. Only if you received the program on CD would you have a number; if you have a CD your Customer Number looks like this:

FDM-123-456-7890 (Mac)

or

FDW-123-456-7890 (Windows)

It's found on the registration card that came in the box and on a sticker on one of the covers of the manual.

NOTE: Final Draft 4 is no longer supported, so an FDM/FDW number will not be recognized by our web-based support service.

If you don't have a Customer Number but you still have your FD4 (or earlier) software disks or are registered, you can still upgrade to the current version of Final Draft. Please call 800-231-4055 or 818-995-8995 and a salesperson will be happy to help you.

Final Draft 1, 2 and 3 did not ship with Customer Numbers.
