Question
How do I enable or disable the title page in my Final Draft 7 PDF export?

Answer

For information for Final Draft 10 / 9 / 8, click HERE.

In Final Draft 7.1x, there's a check-box under Tools > Options > Document tab (Windows)...

and Final Draft 7 menu/Preferences (Mac)...

that sets the PDF export to include or exclude the title page. This box is checked by default.

Earlier versions of Final Draft 7 don't allow you to save a script without a title page.

NOTE that 7.1x is not supported on Mac OS 9. Users of this operating system must use 7.0.0.5.4.

In FD6, simply clear the text from the title page:

  1. Go to Document > Title page.
  2. Go to Edit > Select All to highlight all the text.
  3. Press Delete on your keyboard.
  4. Go to File > Close to return to the script. When the script is saved as a PDF there will be no title page.

NOTE: All support for Final Draft 7, including software activation, has been discontinued. You may find solutions to problems in the online knowledge base or in the PDF manual found on the installation CD.
