Question
When I try to work on or save a ScriptCompare document, Final Draft crashes.

Answer

This is a known issue but it has an easy workaround. After you have generated the compare document, before you do any work on it:

  1. Go to Edit > Select All or on your keyboard press Control + A (Windows) or Command + A (Mac);
  2. Go to Edit > Copy or on your keyboard press Control + C (Windows) or Command + C (Mac);
  3. Go to File > Close and close the file without saving;
  4. Go to File > New from Template and choose a new screenplay;
  5. Go to Edit > Paste or on your keyboard press Control + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac);
  6. The contents of the compare document will appear.

This document can be edited and saved without any issues.
