Question
When installing Final Draft onto my Mac, I get this error message: "Unable to write to library, please contact the manufacturer."

Answer
  1. Make sure you are logged in as the administrator;
  2. Open Mac HD > Library > Fonts;
  3. Drag the Courier Final Draft font to the Trash. If a message appears saying the file is locked and cannot be deleted:
    1. Right-click or Control + click the icon;
    2. Choose Get Info and unlock the file;
    3. Drag it to the Trash;
  4. Empty the Trash. If a message appears saying that the Trash cannot be emptied, hold down the Option key and empty the Trash again;
  5. Re-run the Final Draft installer.
