When I try to install Final Draft 8 onto my Mac, I get an error message saying it can't install library fonts.

Question
When I try to install Final Draft 8 onto my Mac, I get an error message saying it can't install library fonts.

Answer
  1. Open Mac HD > Applications;
  2. If you see the Final Draft 8 folder, drag it to the Trash;
  3. Empty the Trash;
  4. Open Mac HD > Library > Fonts;
  5. If you see the Courier Final Draft font, single-click on it, to highlight it;
  6. On your keyboard, press Apple + i (or on the mouse, Control + click the icon) and choose Get Info;
  7. Expand the General section by clicking the dropdown triangle;
  8. Under Stationery Pad you will see a box that says Locked. Uncheck this box;
  9. Close the info window;
  10. Reinstall Final Draft; you should not get the error message again.
