How do I delete the Final Draft preferences file on a Mac?

Answer

Final Draft 10 / 9 / 8 on OS X 10.12 (Sierra*), 10.11 (El Capitan), 10.10 (Yosemite) / 10.9 (Mavericks) / 10.8 (Mountain Lion) / 10.7 (Lion):

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal;
  2. Type defaults delete com.finaldraft.finaldraft.v10 / 9 / 8
  3. Press Return on the keyboard;
  4. Quit Terminal.

Final Draft 8 / 7 on OS X 10.6x / 5 / 4:

  1. Go to Mac HD / Users / username / Library / Preferences;
  2. Drag com.finaldraft.finaldraft.v8.plist or com.finaldraft.fd7.plist to the Trash;
  3. Empty the Trash.
